How to Set a Fence Post.

The start of a good fence is the foundation, setting up fence posts can be extremely tedious. Using mason lines we figure two points on opposite ends of where the fence will be running, set two posts, level them, insert concrete in holes. Once your concrete is dried out on both posts you'll tie a mason line to both ends on one side and you'll have your fence line displayed. From there you will measure out your distances between posts generally 6ft or 8ft spacing’s and mark those spacing’s following your mason line. Once you finish marking you can remove your mason line and begin digging your holes for posts. Once completing the holes at the correct depth you put up your mason line again and begin installing your posts making sure they follow the mason line and are plumb on both sides of the post. Do that across your fence line until you meet your starter posts.
